Plan Commission
The Town of Day Plan Commission was re- established on August 21st, 2024, with the first meeting being held on September 4th, 2024.
The Plan Commission’s first priority was to update the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. This Plan has not been updated since it’s inception in 2006. State law requires the Plan to be updated every 10 years. After many meetings and assistance from North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (NCWRPC), the newly updated plan was completed and adopted on July 16, 2025.
The Plan Commission was also tasked with establishing a Town Zoning Code. This has been a very long and cumbersome process, but after many meetings and hours of work, the final draft was sent to the town attorney for review. After required changes were made, a public hearing was held on October 21st where the Zoning Code was open for review by residents. In addition, the Plam Commission established a zoning map with assistance from (NCWRPC), zoning permit applications and a town fee schedule. We are hoping to have the Zoning Code adopted before the end of the year.
The Plan Commission meetings are posted at the town hall, town website, EML, and the Little Corner Bar & Grill.
