County Notices

In an effort to protect Marathon County’s natural resources and public health, the Marathon County Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Department (CPZ) and the Environmental Resources Committee have proposed changes to Chapter 11.02 of the Marathon County General Code of Ordinances, titled “Animal Waste Management Ordinance.”

The proposed changes to the ordinance are listed on the back side of this letter. Please keep in mind, if adopted, there would be a “delayed implementation period” for this ordinance. In all discussions with the Environmental Resources Committee, the delayed implementation period has been a minimum of three years.

There will be several opportunities to attend Open Houses and/or Public Meetings related to the potential ordinance changes.
