From the Treasurer Marci Griesbach
Each year, our town develops a budget to plan how we will fund important town needs, maintain our infrastructure, and support programs that make our community a great place to live. We want you to know how this process works—and how you can be involved.
Gathering Information
Town Board members begin by reviewing current income and expenses, identify needs for the upcoming year, and estimating costs. We also look at state funding, grants, and projected tax revenues.
Drafting the Budget
A proposed budget is created, balancing priorities such as public safety, road maintenance, and other essential services—while staying within available resources.
Public Input
Your feedback is an important part of this process. Public budget meeting will be scheduled to hear your thoughts, answer questions, and ensure the budget reflects our community’s values. This will be scheduled for later in November.
Review & Approval
The Town Board reviews the proposed budget, considers public input, and may make adjustments. Once finalized, the Board votes to adopt the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Implementation & Accountability
Once approved, the budget guides how funds are spent. We provide regular updates so you can see where your tax dollars are going and how they’re making an impact.
